OTS Secretary General: Zangazur corridor to create new opportunities for region

The Zangazur corridor will create new opportunities for the region, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliev said at the international scientific and practical conference in Zangilan on the “International transport and logistics corridor: development impulses from Zangilan,” Report informs.

He noted that Azerbaijan is one of the main players in the field of global logistics and transport, connecting Europe with Asia, which creates an opportunity for economic growth: "Transport issues are among the priorities for the Turkic states, which is reflected in the documents. The main goal of this event is to develop transport and transit cooperation and eliminate difficulties. Our main goal is the development of the Middle Corridor."

"Our strategy is to transform the Middle Corridor into a safe transport corridor as quickly as possible. In addition, we intend to turn our region into a transport hub. The Zangazur corridor will provide socio-economic and geopolitical benefits," added the Secretary General.
