The number of air flights between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will increase to 42 from previous 32, the country's Ministry of Industry said.
Report informs via Kazakh media that it became possible owing to signing a protocol on air communication between the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan and Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan as part of Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov's visit to Baku.
The ministry said the legal framework to carry out regular flights between the countries has been expanded in line with the document.
"The expansion of the legal framework will help increase the number of performed flights between the countries, which will increase competition on the market of air transportation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan and will also promote the further strengthening of trade and economic, business, trade and cultural cooperation between the countries," the ministry said.
