It is important to make cities clean, eco-friendly, and inclusive for future generations, and parliaments play an important role in this, stated Milli Majlis deputy Nigar Arpadarai at a roundtable within the framework of WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.
She noted that creating incentives for responsible urban behavior through legislation and regulation is a priority:
"We strive to support businesses implementing innovations and green technologies, to encourage recycling and sustainable practices," Arpadarai emphasized.
As an example, she also cited the restoration and construction works in Karabakh and East Zangazur: "Here, cities and villages are being built in accordance with the 'smart city' approach."
