The railway administrations of the countries participating in a project to create an international multimodal corridor of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region (China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Europe) agree to provide discounts for transportation along this corridor, the Deputy Director of the Kyrgyz National Railway Company, Dastan Usubakunov, said, Report informs via Kyrgyz media.
According to him, the project provides for mixed cargo transportation from China to Europe across the territories of the participating countries.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to deliver most of the goods by container trains along the railway tracks.
“In March 2022, a meeting of the railway administrations of the countries participating in the project to create a corridor was held in Tashkent. The next meeting is planned to be held on June 29 in Bishkek. Representatives of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Turkiye and Georgia have already sent a list of their delegations,” D.Usubakunov said.
