Over the past five years, the reserves of the Mingachevir Reservoir have decreased by 50%, the Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Vugar Karimov, said at the briefing themed “The causes of water shortage in the country and the current situation”, Report informs.
According to him, the water input from the rivers flowing into the Mingachevir Reservoir has dropped: “The state does regulatory work, but our citizens must also use water efficiently.”
