Minister Nabiyev notes growing role of Middle Corridor

The role of the Middle Corridor is growing, Azerbaijan's Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev said at the opening of the 4th International Conference on “Shaping the Geopolitics of the Greater Eurasia: from Past to Present to Future,” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, Report informs.

According to him, transit cargo transportation through Azerbaijan increased by 75% last year, and this figure is growing rapidly.

In this light, the restoration of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, as well as the international airports built there, play an important role.

Nabiyev also stressed the importance of opening the Zangazur corridor in terms of increasing the region's transit potential.
