Maritime international transportation in Azerbaijan up by nearly 7%

In January-November 2024, 2,582,836.37 tons of cargo worth $2.44 billion were transported by sea in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
This is 37.5% and 6.5% more, respectively, compared to the same period in 2023.
During the reporting period, 78,895 tons of cargo (6.4% more year-on-year) worth $88.13 million (47.7% less) were exported by sea transport.
The volume of imported cargo amounted to 2.5 million tons (6.5% more), with a value of $2.36 billion (46.4% more).
