From the second half of this year, it is planned to introduce blockchain technology between Port of Baku and Georgian ports, department head of Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC Khudayar Hasanli said at the regional event on the Middle Corridor held in Georgia, Report informs.
He said that this will help increase the number of containers.
"For the development of the Middle Corridor, we must first improve infrastructure facilities. If the infrastructure is not available then digitization and other improvements being made will not help attract more cargo from China. We, as Port of Baku, will expand our activities and increase our capabilities in container transportation," the head of the department emphasized.
