Construction of Horadiz-Jabrayil-Zangilan-Aghband road 93% complete

The construction of the Horadiz-Jabrail-Zangilan-Aghband (Zangazur Corridor) road, the foundation of which was laid by the presidents of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, is 93% complete, Report informs, citing the state Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads.

The total length of the four-lane road is 149.9 km, and the length of the main road is 123.6 km. The project includes the construction of 55 underground passages and 28 bridges.

One of the important components of the Zangazur Corridor construction project are tunnels. In each of the 3 tunnels built along the road with a total length of 12,032 m, drilling and concreting work has been completed.

The construction of the Horadiz-Jabrail-Zangilan-Aghband road is one of the important steps taken by Azerbaijan in the field of infrastructure. The road is of great importance in terms of connecting other regions of Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. It will not only strengthen the transport system, but will also become an important instrument for accelerating the region’s economic development and strengthening strategic ties.
