Construction of BTK’s Georgian section almost completed

As much as 95% of the construction work carried out within the framework of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway line project on the territory of Georgia has been completed, Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze said, Report informs.
He made the remark during the presentation of his annual report in the parliament.
The prime minister stated that the Georgian Railway Modernization Project is being successfully implemented.
"The construction of all six tunnels planned in the project has been completed. One of the longest railway tunnel projects with a length of over 8 kilometers has been implemented,” he said.
Kobakhidze added that cargo transportation by rail was resumed in test mode in May 2024.
