Charging for new toll road to be carried out by special chip cards in Azerbaijan

Charging for the new toll road Baku-Guba - state border with the Russian Federation will be carried out by a special chip card, Chairman of the Board of the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads Saleh Mammadov said, according to Report.

Mammadov noted that as the tariffs for the use of the toll road were set just recently, they have yet to be integrated into the payment system.

"Once this process is completed, the payment system software will be tested. Then the road will be available for public use. The work is to be completed shortly," he said.
