Cargo transportation on Azerbaijani section of TRACECA up 19%

In January-June this year, the volume of cargo transported on the Azerbaijani section of the Transport Corridor Europe Caucasus Asia (TRACECA) amounted to 24,0253,500 tons, and the cargo turnover was 6,005.6 million tkm, 19.3%, and 25.6%, respectively, more than in the same period last year, Report informs, referring to the State Statistics Committee.

Some 13.079 million tons or 53.9% of the cargo were transported by road, 7.914 million tons or 32.6% - by rail, and 3.259 million tons or 13.5% - by sea. Transit cargo accounted for 27.3% or 6.621 million tons of cargo transported along the corridor.
