The construction of the Aghdam-Fuzuli highway will be completed next year, Bashir Hajiyev, the deputy special representative of the President in the liberated territories of the Karabakh economic region, said in the panel discussions on "The Great Return: new economic realities and changing demands of the labor market" organized within the framework of the conference "Development of vocational education in Azerbaijan for a strong economy: a vision of the future" held in Baku, Report informs.
In addition, he noted that the construction of the Barda-Aghdam highway is nearing completion.
"Azerenerji OJSC has already commissioned two substations in that area. According to the "I State Program on the Great Return," 5 residential districts and 12 villages will be built and handed over to residents in Aghdam by the end of 2026. Historical and cultural monuments are being restored in Aghdam, central and forest parks are being designed, and construction will begin soon. Aghdam was previously known as an industrial city. Now there is an industrial park here, and residents have started building factories. Some of them will be opened next year," he said.
