Baku-Sumgayit train fares to increase starting September 25

The Azerbaijan Railways CJSC has announced that starting from September 25, 2024, new fares will be implemented for passenger transportation on the Baku Circular Railway Line.

According to Report, Azer Farajov, the head of the Passenger Transportation Department at Azerbaijan Railways, passengers will pay a minimum of 0.40 manats for their journey, which still remains the lowest tariff among public transport options in the country. However, depending on the distance traveled, fares on the Absheron loop route will increase by 0.10-0.20 manats.
