Baku port's intermodal cargo terminal to be completed within a year

The construction of the new intermodal cargo terminal at the Baku International Sea Trade Port is expected to be completed within the next year, said Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan's Samruk Kazyna Holding, Report informs.
Zhakupov stated that the terminal will handle containers and cargo from China to Europe and other countries, significantly increasing the freight flow along the Middle Corridor. He added that in the initial stage, the terminal is projected to handle 330,000 to 350,000 TEU containers annually.
