Baku Metro CJSC, operating within the Azerbaijan Transport and Communication Holding (AZCON Holding), has identified three main areas with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), including the development of a new concept to ensure energy efficiency, effective operation of its infrastructure, and efficiency through advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and data-based decision-making.
Report informs, citing Baku Metro, that the decision was made at a meeting between the organization's chairman, Vusal Aslanov, and a delegation led by ADB's director for emerging areas and energy sector, Cindy Tiangco.
The meeting was held to discuss the development prospects of newly emerging areas in the activities of the Baku Metro and to identify areas of joint cooperation. In addition, the sides agreed on the phased steps to be taken. The measures to be implemented will consist of feasibility studies and implementation of projects developed by Baku Metro using international knowledge, experience and expert exchange.
It is planned to launch joint activities in several areas by the end of 2025.
