Baku hosts 52nd meeting of Joint Azerbaijani-Iranian commission

The 52nd meeting of the permanent Joint Azerbaijani-Iranian Commission on the joint use of water and energy resources of the Araz river was held in Baku.

Report informs, citing JSC Melioration and Water Economy of Azerbaijan, that representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and relevant structures of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic took part in the meeting chaired by the co-chairman of the commission from the Azerbaijani side, deputy chairman of the joint-stock company Zakir Guliyev.

At the meeting, the sides determined the operation mode of the Araz reservoir and the distribution of water resources between the two countries, prepared schedules for the joint use of water and energy resources of the Araz River and signed a protocol.
