In May this year, Azerbaijani citizens bought 47 apartments (5 apartments or 11.9% more compared to May 2020) in Turkey, Report informs, citing the Turkish Statistical Institute.
429 Azerbaijani citizens purchased apartments in Turkey in January-May, which is 68 units or 18.8% more than in the first five months of 2020.
In May this year, 1,796 properties (926 units or 2.06 times more than in May 2020) were sold to foreigners in Turkey.
Turkey owned 15,920 foreign properties in January-May, 3,186 units or 25.02% more than in the first five months of last year.
Iraqi citizens received the most housing in Turkey. They acquired 239 apartments in May and 2,246 in January-May.
The next place is occupied by Iranian citizens. Those from this country bought 231 apartments in the brother country last month and 2,387 in January-May.
Russian citizens complete the first three. Citizens of this country had 119 apartments in February and 1,459 in January-May.
