Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan to exchange permit forms for road transportation

Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan will exchange additional permit forms, the Transport Ministry of Uzbekistan said, Report informs via Uzbek media.

A corresponding agreement was reached at a meeting of the Uzbek-Azerbaijani Joint Commission on international road transport, held online.

The participants discussed the current state of international road transport between the two countries, the problems faced by national carriers of the two countries and ways to solve them, and revised the quota for deducting permit forms.

"The meeting determined the exchange of additional forms of bilateral permits for 2023 and a quota of types of permits to be exchanged in 2024," the statement said.

In addition, from 2024 there will be three types of permits between countries - transit, bilateral and trilateral.

The Ministry of Transport also appealed to national carriers so that they take into account innovations in their activities.
