Azerbaijan transports nearly 10 million tons of cargo by rail

Rail freight traffic in Azerbaijan reached 9.793 million tonnes between January and July 2025, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

This figure marks a 9.5% decrease compared to the same period last year.

In total, transport sector operators in Azerbaijan moved 136.9 million tonnes of cargo during the reporting period, with 7.2% of that volume transported by rail.
