A 10 million euro investment in the Training and Development Center, based on the Memorandum of Understanding between Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) and Swiss company Stadler Rail Group, will help increase the proportion of women among the company's employees, ADY Communications Department Head Aybeniz Ismailova said at the event "Exemplary Leadership in Women's Employment and Career Development in Azerbaijan" in Baku.

"According to forecasts, in the coming years, investments of $6 trillion will be made in railway infrastructure globally. The transformation of the railway industry is not just a matter of capital; it creates an opportunity for survival in the competitive global talent market. By ensuring inclusivity, we are preparing for the industry's development," she noted.

The ADY representative added that according to the latest Global Railway Construction Projects report, annual planned expenditures could reach $482.6 billion in 2024 and $564.5 billion in 2025.
