Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan strategic partnership strengthens regional stability, study says

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan need to continue to increase investment in infrastructure, actively use digital technologies, and engage the financial ecosystem to further strengthen economic cooperation.

According to Report, such a recommendation is contained in an analytical study on the prospects for deepening economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, prepared by the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) and the Institute for Development and Diplomacy (IDD) at ADA University.

The study notes that the development of the Middle Corridor and the construction of a submarine fiber-optic line across the Caspian Sea (investments in the project are estimated at $50 million - ed.) strengthen the positions of the two countries as key transit hubs between Asia and Europe.

"The growth of oil exports, the implementation of green energy projects, increased trade and financial cooperation form a sustainable economic model. The strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan helps attract investment, strengthen regional stability, and expand ties with external partners," the document notes.

The authors believe that by adhering to a strategic and forward-looking approach, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will be able to realize their geo-economic potential, attract more foreign investment, and strengthen their leading positions in the Silk Road region. According to analysts, joint work will bring benefits not only to the economies of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan but will also contribute to regional prosperity, stability, and expanded international cooperation.
