Azerbaijan building new water reservoirs

"Currently, Azerbaijan’s 43 agro parks possess nearly 200,000 hectares of areas, of which 83,000 hectares are under irrigation engineering and water management activities. Some 60,000 hectares of them are newly-irrigated areas, Rafig Aslanov, Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Amelioration and Water Management OJSC, told the Sustainability Forum 2021, organized by the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce in Baku and dedicated to the sustainable development of water infrastructure, Report informs.
In addition, according to him, in accordance with the "Action Plan for 2020-2022", the reconstruction of 22 irrigation canals and the creation of 10 new reservoirs has begun.
