ASCO ships in Black, Azov Seas moved to safer areas

Due to the events in Ukraine, Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) CJSC decided to ensure the safety of ships and their crew members operating in the Black and Azov Seas, ASCO spokesperson Mehman Mehdiyev told Report.
“Several contracts on cargo transportation in this direction have been terminated. Currently, ASCO ships are in safer areas. In addition, the dry-cargo ship Huseyn Javid, which is in the roadstead in a Black Sea port for unloading, was delivered to the coast of Romania for safety reasons. In general, we are monitoring the course of events, taking all possible measures for the safety of ships and their crew members, and the necessary measures will be continued in the future,” he said.
