Almaty joins SPECA Forum of Cities

The Kazakh city of Almaty has officially joined the Declaration of Intent to establish the Smart and Climate-Resilient Cities Forum of the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA), Report informs.
This was announced at the SPECA Cities Forum in Baku.
The platform currently includes the cities of Almaty, Arkadag, Bishkek, Dushanbe, Ganja, and Samarkand.
The platform was established in 2024 as part of COP29.
