The details of the agreement reached between the Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC and Turkiye's Albayrak Group regarding the fertilizer terminal in the Port of Baku have been revealed, Taleh Ziyadov, general director of the joint-stock company, said, Report informs.
According to him, the holding will have a 49% share in the port's fertilizer terminal and start operations at the port's Ro-Ro terminal from next month.
"There is a comprehensive approach here. Together with the partner ports in Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, work will be done to properly manage the supply chain. The construction of the fertilizer terminal in Baku Port is planned to be completed in the first quarter of next year," said Ziyadov.
Turkiye's leading holding uniting more than 50 companies, the Albayrak Group, which has great experience in port management and international trade formation in Europe and Africa, along with Turkiye, will participate in the expansion of the region's logistics capabilities at the Port of Baku. In this regard, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Baku International Sea Trade Port and the holding.
