Significant changes are set to be implemented in Baku's public transport system during COP29.
Report quotes Anar Rzayev, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, as saying 57 bus routes will be altered during the conference days.
Speaking at a briefing on the transport plan for COP29, Rzayev revealed that currently, over 30 routes operate around the Koroglu metro station. However, during the climate conference, only three bus routes - №163, 184, and 214 - will serve this area, primarily connecting to the settlements of Ramana, Zabrat, and Baku's Surakhani district. The opposite side of the station will be fully utilized for COP29 events.
Approximately 12 routes arriving at Koroglu station will be redirected to Ulduz station, while the rest will be diverted to Gara Garayev station and others. Rzayev assured that the public will be regularly informed about the changes in route schedules.
