Trafigura acquires exclusive right to part of products obtained from Azerbaijan’s copper-molybdenum deposit

Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited (AIMC), a subsidiary of Anglo Asian Mining plc, a British gold, copper and silver producer operating in Azerbaijan, has signed an agreement with Trafigura Pte Ltd on the sale of copper concentrate, Anglo Asian Mining plc said in a statement, Report informs.

AIMC and Trafigura have signed an advance payment agreement for the sale of copper concentrate. Under the agreement, Trafigura will make an upfront payment of $5 million to AIMC for the purchase of the concentrate.

“With the agreement, Trafigura also acquired the exclusive right to buy 50% of the volume of production to be obtained in the first year of production from the Damirli copper-molybdenum deposit in the Karabakh economic region,” reads the statement

The contract is valid until December 31, 2024.
