Sugar production increases by nearly 60% in Azerbaijan

In January-April 2025, 85,100 tons of sugar were produced in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistics Committee.

According to the committee, this amount is 59.7% more compared to the same period of 2024.

Over the past year, the production of sugar confectionery in the country increased by 7% to 2,973.4 tons.

As of May 1, Azerbaijan had a ready product stock of 5,700 tons of sugar, and 61.1 tons of sugar confectionery, which is 72.7% more YoY and 46.2% less YoY, respectively.

In the first four months of 2025, food products worth over $1.778 billion manats ($1.045 billion) were produced in Azerbaijan - 12.5% more compared to the previous year.
