With the support of AzerGold CJSC and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and the organization of the Birge ve Saglam (Together and Healthy) Public Union, a regional autism center is being established in Ganja to promote the individual development of people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), their early diagnosis and intensive rehabilitation, and conducting educational work, Report informs, citing Azergold CJSC.
The project implemented with the Birge ve Saglam Public Union will cover people with ASP and their families in Ganja city and surrounding districts, including Dashkasan, Goygol, Goranboy, Shamkir, and Tovuz.
In the center, families across the region will undergo a medical and psychoeducational assessment by local and international specialists, and the number of children and teenagers at risk and those in need of special educational support will be determined. They will then be involved in the training and rehabilitation process according to their needs, such as pre-school education, obtaining qualification, self-management, and obtaining skills of living independently.
