Production of electric buses to be launched at Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park

It is planned to launch the production of electric buses in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park, Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Development of Economic Zones under the Ministry of Economy, Seymur Adygozalov, said at a press conference.

Report quotes him as saying the agency is implementing green energy projects in accordance with the socioeconomic development strategy for 2022-2026. The production of electric buses will contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions in the country, as well as the transfer of alternative technologies to Azerbaijan, he said.
