New enterprises to start operating in industrial parks in Azerbaijan's Aghdam, Jabrayil

Enterprises producing decorative stones, tobacco products, and various adhesive tapes are planned to be launched in the Aghdam and Araz Valley Economic Zone industrial parks, the Economic Zones Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy said in response to a request from Report.

According to the agency, a total of 45 business entities have been registered as residents and 7 entrepreneurs as non-residents in those two industrial parks. More than 150 million manats ($88.2 million) have been invested, and more than 740 permanent jobs have been created.

Currently, 11 enterprises are operating in these industrial zones. From the end of September 2024 to the end of the first quarter of 2025, the value of production at these enterprises made 87 million manat. In total, the construction of more than 10 enterprises continues in the Agdam and Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Parks, and design work is being carried out in more than 20 enterprises.

Aghdam Industrial Park is a modern industrial complex covering an area of ​​​​190 hectares, established by the decree of the Azerbaijani president dated May 28, 2021. The park has electricity and heat energy, gas, water, sewage, communications, transport and other necessary infrastructure facilities. It is the second-largest industrial park in Azerbaijan in terms of the number of residents.

The Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park covers an area of ​​​​200 hectares and was established in the Jabrayil district, which is part of the East Zangazur economic region, by the decree of the president dated October 4, 2021. The park aims to ensure the economic revival of the liberated territories, support entrepreneurship, and develop the industrial potential of the region.
