Minister: Development of creative industry in Azerbaijan 'a priority'

The creative industry has been on the rise in Azerbaijan over the past years, and the Ministry of Culture considers it a priority, Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture Anar Karimov said as he spoke during the public debates on challenges and business opportunities in the creative industry.

"Great attention is already attached to this direction in the international arena. I believe that Azerbaijan should not stay aside from this process. We are weighing the possibility of overhauling legislation to develop the creative industry. In particular, it is essential to eliminate the gaps, apply mechanisms of intellectual property and create statistical database," Karimov said.
