The 29th session of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29), held in Baku, has become an important starting point for organizing COP30, which will take place this November in Brazil, Olmo Borges Javier, the Director of Projects at the Brazilian President's Administration, told Report.
According to him, the concepts of the "Blue Zone" for official meetings and the "Green Zone" for parallel events at COP29 have provided new ideas for preparing the upcoming summit.
"We have been working on these concepts since last year. COP29 has provided us with more information and experience in this area. As part of this mission, we understand that our plan meets the requirements for such a large-scale event," Javier said.
COP30 will be held in the city of Belém, Brazil. Key topics will include carbon emissions reduction, transition to clean energy, forest protection, and adaptation to the socio-economic impacts of climate change.
