AzerGold reveals sales revenues

AzerGold CJSC earned 1.028 billion manats ($753.2 million) from sales during its 7 years of operation, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the CJSC, Zakir Ibrahimov, said, Report informs.

According to him, export revenues accounted for 990 million manats ($582.6) of sales revenue: “The company has exported 358,000 ounces of gold and 712,000 ounces of silver, and directed over 11,000 ounces of gold and 76,000 ounces of silver to the domestic market to develop the local jewelry market.”

Ibrahimov also noted that in the first half of this year, AzerGold produced 18,000 ounces of gold and 53,000 ounces of silver from its mines in the Dashkasan and Goygol districts.

“Gold production exceeded the plan by 3%, and silver production by 53%. During the reporting period, 18,000 ounces of gold and 42,000 ounces of silver were sold on the world stock market. Gold and silver exports exceeded the plan by 31% and 74%, respectively. During the first half of the year, 73 million manats ($42.96 million) of income were obtained from the sales operations of precious metals in the domestic and foreign markets, 61 million manats ($35.9 million) of which were received from exports,” he said.
