Azerbaijan to start production of electric buses in 2025

China's BYD company plans to launch an electric bus manufacturing facility in Azerbaijan in 2025, Seymur Adigozalov, Chairman of the Agency for Development of Economic Zones under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy, during a press conference, Report informs.

According to Adigozalov, the necessary infrastructure for production has already been established, and the installation of the production line is expected to begin in the coming days. The project value exceeds 29 million manats ($17.05 million).

Last year, a Framework Agreement was signed with BYD to ensure the local production of buses for the country's bus fleet.
