Azerbaijan sees 13-fold increase in caviar production

In 2024, 1.3 tons of sturgeon caviar was produced in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the country"s State Statistical Committee.
This marks a 63% increase (0.5 tons) compared to 2023 and a remarkable 13-fold rise (1.2 tons) compared to 2020.
During the same reporting period, the country also produced 6,700 tons of fishery products, including canned goods. This figure is 2.7 times higher than the previous year (an increase of 4.2 tons) and four times greater than the volume recorded five years ago (up by 5 tons).
