Azerbaijan posts decline in gold production in 1H2024

Azerbaijan produced over 1,003 kg of gold and just over 1,720 kg of silver in the first half of 2024, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
Compared to the corresponding period of 2023, this is a decrease of 2.9 percent and 6.6 percent, respectively.
Azerbaijan also produced 100.8 tons of copper concentrate in the first six months of the current year, which is 94.6% less year-on-year.
As of July 1, 2024, the country accounted for 247.7 kg of gold, 679.1 kg of silver, and 14.7 tons of copper concentrate reserves.
