Azerbaijan gets 13% rise in beverage production

Azerbaijan produced 2,130,800 dekaliters of beverage in January 2021, up 12.9% from a year earlier, Report informs, with reference to the State Statistical Committee (SSC).
In the reporting period, the vodka production made up 85,700 dekaliters (20.1% less than a year ago), whiskey-cognac production dropped 28.6% to 500 dekaliters, grape wine production stood at 55,400 dekaliters (up 2.2-fold from the previous year), beer production slipped 20.9% to 203,100 dekaliters, soft drinks production increased by 19.1% to 1,786,100 dekaliters.
As of February 1, the finished products on alcoholic drinks were 1,487,200 dekaliters, on soft drinks – 257,300 dekaliters, respectively, down 3.7% and 2.3-fold from the previous year.
