Azerbaijan exports polyethylene to another Latin American country

In January 2022, Azerbaijan sold abroad 15,427 tons of polyethylene (a primary form with a specific gravity of less than 0.94/more than 0.94) worth $21.95 million.

According to Report's calculations, based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, compared to the same period last year, imports increased by 2.7 times in value terms and 90% quantitatively.

Azerbaijan exported 6,491.5 tons of products worth $10.45 million to Russia, 5,242.5 tons worth $6.5 million to China, and 2,434.5 tons worth $3.16 million to Turkiye, 525,000 tons worth $809,620 to Lithuania, 315 tons for $452,700 to Ukraine.

This year Peru bought polyethylene from Azerbaijan for the first time. This country purchased 270 tons of products in the amount of $358,810. Last year, Azerbaijan exported 292,500 tons of polyethylene to Mexico to the tune of $351,000.

Over the reporting period, 3,213.64 tons of polyethylene (a primary form with a specific gravity of less than 0.94/more than 0.94) were imported into Azerbaijan in the amount of $4.6 million, which is 41.7% more in value terms and 1.3% more in quantitative terms compared to January last year.
