Azerbaijan boosts vegetable oil, margarine production in 1Q2025

In the first quarter of 2025, Azerbaijan produced more than 11,206 tons of liquid vegetable oils, marking a 2.9% increase year-on-year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
Moreover, the country produced over 13,115 tons of margarine in three months, which is 18.4% more than a year ago.
As of April 1, 2025, the country holds reserves of approximately 3,674 tons of liquid vegetable oil, reflecting a 24.8% decrease compared to the previous year. In contrast, margarine reserves have grown by 8.8%, totaling just over 3,094 tons.
Meanwhile, during the January-March period, Azerbaijan's food production totaled over 1.395 billion manats ($820.8 million), reflecting a 12.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
