Around $4.1M invested in Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park

A new resident, AK PACK LLC, has been registered in the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, managed by the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones, the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones told Report.

Now 29 residents are registered in the industrial park, 17 of them carry out their activities.

AK PACK LLC will build a plant for the production of soft polymer packaging products on the territory of the industrial park.

The project with investments worth more than 7 million manats ($4.1 million) will create 35 permanent jobs.

The products manufactured by the new resident will be used in the food industry. In addition to sales on the domestic market, export to foreign countries is envisaged.
