Up to 200 people will participate in 5th Children's Paralympic Games in Azerbaijan

"About 200 children are expected to participate in the 5th Children's Paralympic Games in Azerbaijan on November 14 this year," Secretary General of Azerbaijan`s National Paralympic Committee of Azerbaijan Kamal Mammadov told journalists. Report's Georgian bureau informs that, according to him, the games will be organized in 7 kinds of sports - Paralympic Judo, boccia, table tennis, swimming, golf, powerlifting and dancing in wheelchairs.

Mammadov said that children who will participate in the Games will represent about 20 cities. The Secretary General added that one of the main goals is to conduct Children's Paralympic Games at International level in the future: “Baku has repeatedly proved its ability to organize international sporting events at a high level. The country must also be ready for Paralympics to host the Olympic Games. The existing infrastructure in Azerbaijan does not yet provide the necessary conditions. But we are working on this and I'm sure that Azerbaijan will host the Olympic and Paralympic games in the future. "
