Two Azerbaijani boxers reach quarterfinals of European Championship

Two Azerbaijani boxers have advanced to the quarterfinals of the ongoing U-23 European Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria.
According to Report, Nijat Huseynov (51 kg) won his first match against Scott Richards from Wales with a 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28) victory. Huseynov will face Spaniard Rafael Serrano in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, Murad Allahverdiyev also won his first match, defeating Alexey Koktsikawa (Athlète Individuel Neutre - AIN) with a score of 3:2 (28:29, 29:28, 30:27, 28:29, 30:27). Allahverdiyev will compete against Matvii Razhba from Ukraine in the next stage.
The quarterfinal matches for male boxers in the European Championship will be held on October 16.
