Tokyo 2020: 12 more tested positive for coronavirus

With the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics due to start on Friday, the number of positive Covid cases have again increased, Report informs, citing the official website of the Organizing Committee.
Thus, 12 more people tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
It includes athletes and employees of the Olympics organizing committee, national committees and contractors and others employees and volunteers working on the games, and media members.
The head of the Tokyo 2020 organizing committee has not ruled out canceling the games in light of rising infections.
The opening ceremony of Tokyo 2020 will take place on July 23, while the Olympics will end on August 8.
