Russian kart driver's license annuled due to Nazi salute

The Sports Council of the Automobile Club of Italy Council (ACI) has decided to withdraw immediately the sports licence of the Russian driver Artem Severyukhin.

An extraordinary meeting was held to take additional measures regarding the teenage driver, Report says, citing ACI's official website.

15-year-old driver Artyom Severyukhin did a Nazi salute on the podium after winning a junior race in Portugal in the European Karting Championship on Sunday. The pilot's actions caused serious dissatisfaction on social networks. Earlier, the International Automobile Federation announced that it had launched an investigation into the matter.
