Russian and Belarusian citizens banned from joining Boston Marathon

The Boston Athletic Association announced that Russian or Belarusian citizens currently residing in their home countries will not be allowed to compete in the 2023 Boston Marathon, Report informs.

Russians and Belarusians who are not permanent residents of Russia and Belarus will be able to participate in the 127th Boston Marathon.

But they will not compete under the flag of any country.

The marathon will be held on April 17, 2023.
