Opening ceremony of triathlon tournament held in Zangilan

The opening ceremony of the triathlon tournament, Victory March, has been held in the Aghali village of Zangilan.

According to Report's employee seconded to Zangilan, the ceremony began with a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Then the national anthem was sounded.

The opening ceremony of the tournament, organized jointly by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Triathlon Federation, was attended by Special Representative of the President for the Zangilan region Vahid Hajiyev, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov and MP Rauf Aliyev.

The speakers noted that holding the tournament on the historical lands of Azerbaijan is a significant event.

The competition was then officially declared open.
