Named the most popular kinds of sports in Azerbaijan

Baku. 2 August. REPORT.AZ/ In 2016, the number of sports facilities in Azerbaijan reached 11.200 and number of employees in the sports sector made 425.500.
Report informs citing the State Statistical Committee (SSC), population is more interested in sports such as football, volleyball, chess, light athletics, checkers, basketball, freestyle wrestling.
Last year, 837 medals were grabbed by young athletes at various international competitions.
