Minister meets with national team members to take part in the Chess Olympiad

Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov has met with members of the national team that will represent Azerbaijan at the 44th World Chess Olympiad.

Gayibov inquired about their preparations and wished them success in the upcoming competition. After exchanging views with the chess players, the minister answered their questions.

The Chess Olympiad will be held from July 28 to August 10 in the Indian city of Chennai. The men's team includes Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Rauf Mammadov, Gadir Huseynov, Vasif Durabayli and Nijat Abasov.

Gunay Mammadzade, Gulnar Mammadova, Govhar Beydullayeva, Khanym Balajayeva and Ulviya Fataliyeva will perform in the women's team.
